The Origins of Emotional Freedom Technique

Emotional Freedom Technique EFT is an energy healing therapy that was founded in 1990s by Gary Craig. This is a modification from the ancient chinese medicine knowledge of the meridian system. The meridian system is simply a system of energy pathways in the body. When there are blockages in the flow of the energy or qi, it causes an imbalance which will manifest as emotional or physical symptoms.

What Can Emotional Freedom Technique Be Used For?

How Does EFT Work?

The application of EFT is simple. There are no needles involved. Simply tapping on specific points on the energy meridians with fingers and focusing on the specific problem sends a kinetic energy to the meridian system. This restores the meridian system by removing the short circuits and release negative emotions.

EFT works on these imbalances to restore emotional harmony and offer relief from physical discomfort.

Performing EFT Is Simple

  2. Repeat the same on the other hand
  3. Tap on each points in sequence approximately 3-4 times, while saying out your feeling/belief e.g. “this headache
    • Start of eye brow
    • Side of eye
    • Under the eye
    • Under the nose
    • Chin/ under the mouth
    • Collar bone
    • Under arm (under the armpit at the level of nipples)
    • Crown/ Top of head
  4. Take a deep breath
  5. If symptoms persist, repeat step 1 – 3 until you experience improvement.
